Graded Exams

This is an individual class lasting 30-45 mins per lesson and held once a week.  This course is open to all who wish to take graded exams.  The syllabus will focus on exam pieces, scales & arpeggios, sight-reading, and aural tests as required by the ABRSM, London College of Music exam boards.  Exam certification is very important for you if you plan to have a professional career in music teaching.

Leisure Playing

This is an individual class lasting 30-45 mins per lesson and held once a week.  This course is open to all and focuses on playing of pieces.  The objective is to play your favorite pieces and to see if violin is your calling.  There is no exam-like syllabus.  There no time pressure.  You progress in your own time and pace.  You are given pieces of increasing difficulty as you improve.  Many find this course a refreshing change because it contains many popular pieces.  Many students like to take it as supplement to a graded exam syllabus.
